Collector of Tiny Glass Sculptures Turned Sculptor
Samira Akbari Hozmahi, an artist with a lifelong passion for tiny glass sculptures, which have held a special place in my heart since childhood. Their stillness and delicacy have always fascinated me, and they've become not just a collection but a wellspring of inspiration for my artistic journey.
My path to becoming a sculptor was anything but traditional. At the age of 27, I made a pivotal decision to change my major, embarking on a transformative journey to India to pursue the art of sculpture. This decision was driven by an unwavering love for the craft, a desire to manifest my creative vision, and a profound belief in the power of art to connect with the soul.
I eventually landed in San Francisco, where I immersed myself in the world of sculpture. Here, I honed my skills and found a profound sense of fulfillment in bringing my artistic visions to life. My art is a testament to the pursuit of what truly ignites my soul — creating sculptures that resonate with the essence of stillness and beauty that initially drew me to tiny glass sculptures. Join me in exploring this creative odyssey, where the love for the art form has led to a profound and fulfilling journey in the vibrant world of sculpture.
